De music first<\/em> methode<\/span><\/strong><\/h5>\n

Erwin Steijlen vertelde ons over zijn kijk op de kracht van muziek. Zijn verhaal was ijzersterk. Erwin vertelde over hoe muziek nooit als sluitpost gezien mag worden in de communicatie van bedrijven. Juist muziek is bijzonder krachtig in het oproepen van de juiste emotie en zet mensen aan tot actie. Een mooie visie en het klopt. Vandaar dat grote merken graag met Erwin samenwerken. Muziek, zo stelde hij, is een essentieel onderdeel van je huisstijl. Ge\u00efnspireerd raakten we verder aan de praat. Vooral bij Coen begonnen de creatieve radertjes al snel flink te draaien en hij kwam direct met een uitdagend idee. “Erwin, wat nou als we dat wat jij als zo krachtig voor al die bedrijven doet ook eens voor een stad gaan doen?” Erwin vond dit een super uitdagend idee en ook ik was direct verkocht.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

Goede muziek van de stad is heel breed in te zetten<\/span><\/strong><\/h5>\n

Al snel werden ook andere Dutchmen bij dit project betrokken.\u00a0Anne-loes van Prooijen,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Tanja Hoebe en Claire Dekkers zagen zeker de potentie die het geluid van de stad heeft voor de marketingafdeling van de stad, maar zij zagen ook de bredere potentie die ik hen schetste. Muziek kan, namelijk, op veel meer vlakken een verbindend element zijn. Het is logisch dat inclusiviteit bij overheden een zeer hot item is en muziek kan daar een bijzonder mooie rol in spelen. Met die gedachte zijn we aan het werk gegaan en is er een voorstel gekomen voor de gemeente Tilburg. Ook bij de gemeente zagen ze in dat dit iets heel bijzonders kon worden.<\/p>\n

In 2019 is er keihard gewerkt om te onderzoeken wat er met het idee van een Sound of the City ook daadwerkelijk kan in een gemeente. Er is een bijzonder proces doorlopen waarbij Erwin echt op zoek ging naar “het DNA van de stad”, zoals hij dat noemt, en wat dat zou betekenen voor een geluid. Het bleek een enorme uitdaging, want je kunt alle kanten op met muziek en het heeft vaak ook met smaak te maken. Heel spannend.<\/p>\n

Samen met Erwin en Tanja is stap voor stap de juiste route uitgestippeld in een proces dat voor ieder van ons totaal iets nieuws was. Uiteindelijk heeft Erwin twee totaal verschillende muziekstukken gecre\u00eberd. Maar slechts \u00e9\u00e9n daarvan krijgt de titel Sound of the City Tilburg. Met dit soort projecten waarin creativiteit en strategie samengaan komt de breedste kijk op marketing treffend naar voren en kan het tot ongekende resultaten leiden. Dat is waar het voor ons om gaat. The Sound of the City is een concept dat heeft kunnen ontstaan door een samenwerking van de juiste mensen die elkaar vanuit hun eigen specialisme aanvullen en weten te inspireren.<\/p>\n
