Italian company Alessi specializes in creating functional but beautiful, high-quality designer products. A team of chefs, cultural historians, material specialists and designers develop inspiring objects for everyday use. Designs range from household products such as kitchen aids, pots and pans to bathroom accessories, porcelain crockery, glassware, cutlery, photo frames, vases, baubles and wristwatches. Everything is elegant and stylish, as is the Alessi website and online store. All presented perfectly – with a little help from us.

The Challenge

Our assignment: to take product photos that matched Alessi’s “less is more” philosophy. As the brief put it: “bring our products to life through the right presentation.” Alessi sells more and more products online, so our photos had to present their products in the best possible light.

The Outcome

The challenge was clear – and so was the solution! Product photography is all about correct perception; presenting the products in such a way that customers can almost feel and taste them. By creating atmospheric photos, we aim to draw people in so they imagine themselves surrounded by and using these products. This requires technically perfect photos, styled so the products leap out of the screen! Collaboration with experts is the best way to achieve top-quality results, and involving our product stylist at an early stage turned out to be a great decision. Alessi praised our solution for various reasons. The sleek product photography and streamlined set design resulted in an appealing, stylish set of photos. The Italian design firm was impressed, giving our photos of their King-Kong product line compliments such as “Maximum minimalism” and “High quality & styling”. In turn, we were delighted to be able to make such a big contribution to the success of these gorgeous products.
